I'm starting a support group for yoga teachers, the likes of which you've never seen.

If you love yoga and want to be a more effective and skillful teacher, but are feeling disenchanted, burned out or pushed out by the pos vibes only crowd - then you might be in the right spot. Broaden your understanding of movement beyond asana and build critical thinking skills to identify what’s not working in the yoga world so you can be a more effective teacher. My mission is to equip you with the courage and know-how to help you teach your best most empowering yoga classes. This is the training I wish existed.

Asana is the most commonly taught and practiced limb of yoga. People seek it out to feel better in their body and mind yet the training hours and education specific to the physical aspects of asana are anemic at best. Let’s change that.

A thorough understanding of movement beyond static held asanas. Training rooted in movement science can provide this knowledge base. How can we adapt yoga asana for people living in 21st century western society? It is through these questions, (un)learning and inquiry that we can widen circles of accessibility, and do less harm.

It’s a yoga teacher course designed to help connect the dots between concept and practice. Want to create real deal welcoming space for people to practice yoga? Ready for more tools and substance? Reignite your purpose and passion for teaching yoga in the Calm + Strong Yoga Teacher course.

Why: Because there IS a better way. Because this is the training I needed and wish existed without having to piece together several workshops or travel far away to obtain. Also, this is the work I need to do to feel sane.

Who: You can take this training as you are. You don't need anymore experience than you already have. You don’t have to improve yourself or be better at _____ insert your hangup before you’re accepted. It’s ok to not have it all figured out, I hope you don’t. Be skeptical of those who do. This 300-hr YTT is for yoga teacher people who want to fill in the missing pieces, the blanks. To do a bit of unlearning and delve into the process of asking hard questions and being ok with not having all the answers. Learning real world, on the ground ways of teaching yoga to humans. And: to sort out science from romanticized claims and promises. Just because “this is how we always do it” doesn’t make it valid. To do better and make the yoga world a little less gaslit... to figure out what you have to offer, how to best bring it.

  • We will pull in tools and methodologies from outside the yoga world to help sharpen our own individual skills of teaching, communicating, and placemaking.

  • There will be no bashing of other yoga styles different from mine/yours.

  • There will be no right/wrong defining of yoga in a way that excludes or others people. Binaries, Gatekeepers be gone.

  • Each module is its own complete experience. Take one or take all three.

  • Cost: Sliding scale. You choose.
