Hi, I’m Trisha
With over two decades of experience in ashtanga vinyasa yoga, I have transitioned from a traditional yoga teacher to a multifaceted movement trainer. My journey began when I faced burnout and physical pain, realizing that relying solely on yoga for all my movement needs was not enough. The rigid emphasis on flexibility and alignment did not align with the inclusive and sustainable practice I envisioned.
Through extensive education and a commitment to continuous learning, I have evolved my approach to encompass a variety of movement modalities. As a seasoned professional over 40, I specialize in integrating strength and mobility training with yoga principles. My focus is on empowering individuals, particularly women, to build strength and resilience through a holistic and inclusive methodology.
My unique program, Calm + Strong, reflects this philosophy. It prioritizes the functional and experiential aspects of movement over mere aesthetics. By blending the wisdom of yoga with the empowerment of strength training, I help my clients achieve their fitness goals and enhance their overall well-being. Squat, hinge, push, pull, play!
As an expert in the industry, my mission is to provide a supportive and transformative experience that makes strength accessible and enjoyable for all.
This includes removing barriers that people struggle with in group fitness classes, helping yoga teachers adapt their sequencing to better serve students with pain, AND extinguishing confusing myths common in yoga and fitness culture that limit access and stifle capabilities.
